About Me

I am a 26 year old Crossfit addict. I started Crossfit back in June 2008 at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, it wasn't but 2 workouts in that I knew I would never be able to workout any other way again. Ricky Frausto and Joe Westerlin were my coaches at Crossfit Omaha for over 4 years. While at Crossfit Omaha, I competed in every competition I could, whether it was a small, Saturday open gym competition or the Crossfit Secionals, I was there, working my ass off. One thing I learned pretty quick, to be in this sport, you have to be humble. If you are not humble, you will either never get better or quit.
While at CFO, I competed on the 2010 Crossfit Omaha Affiliate Team at Regionals in Colorado, where we placed 1st. I also competed individually in the 2011 Regionals in Chicago, placing 24th.
I moved to The Woodlands, Texas this June and since been coached one-on-one by Carl Edwards and Dutch Lowy. I competed in the Life As RX Tour-Dallas 2011, placing 9th overall. I also had the opportunity to compete in a Clean Olympic Weightlifting Competition at Black Box Forth Worth, where I placed 2nd. The last competition I was in was the UFC Fan Crossfit Expo 2011 in Houston, where my team-mate and I placed 10th. That has been my favorite competition up to date, solely based on the caliber of Crossfit Athletes that I got to sweat side-by-side with! A truly amazing experience, which is what triggered this blog. I am going to the Crossfit Games. I am holding myself accountable to giving each of my workouts 110%.
When I first started Crossfit, I thought I was just going to get an ass-kicking workout, what I learned was that Crossfit is much more than sweating for an hour. Crossfit is family.Crossfit is passion. Crossfit is power. Crossfit is overcoming every single challenge you have within yourself.
I hope fellow Crossfitters follow this blog and post your times/weights to comments! I would love to see where I stand against athletes who love this sport as much as I do!
